Our IDC is based on realistic teaching techniques. Our Course Director will give you proven methods on how to teach all over the world. We are keeping the numbers of the instructor candidates low, so that each IDC candidate gets the necessary attention.
It is not about the quantity but about the quality! And that is not all! Candidates from all over the world are welcome as we speak the following languages: Spanish, English, French and Italian.

Angel Navarro and Jo Armitage are both Platinum Course Directors and together have over 18 years’ experience of running IDCs and nearly 30 years’ experience of teaching scuba diving. Most of the teaching is given by them during the course and so you benefit from their experience both in the classroom and in the water, with the tips, advice and feedback that they give to you.

Let’s make sure you have what it takes to reserve a place on the upcoming IDC:
- 18 years old
- PADI DM or Dive Leader with another agency
- 60 dives minimum (100 for I.E.)
- Open Water certified for 6 months
Huatulco is in the state of Oaxaca and stretches out over 22 miles of coastline and is set within a beautiful natural area with the Sierra Madre Mountain forming a stunning backdrop.
In addition, Huatulco is made up of 9 bays and 36 beaches.
Most have blue-green water, and the sand ranges from golden to white.
Huatulco Dive Center is located in the elegant Sea Soul Huatulco Club that is in playa Chahue overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
While visiting HDC our guests can indulge themselves with the different amenities that the dive center has to offer, such as swimming pool, bar & restaurant, gym, kids area and a fully equipped classroom for our students.
